Buy This: Textbooks from Amazon via Ebates

Back to School Alert!!!  This tip doesn't help me, but it will help people (or the parents of said "people") that are heading back to college in a couple weeks.

As you probably know by now, I'm a big fan of both cash back shopping portals as well as Amazon.  While cash back portals don't typically provide rebates for Amazon purchases, I just discovered that Ebates is currently providing 3% cash back on textbooks from Amazon.com.

So, if you need to buy textbooks for any reason and Amazon offers a lower price than your campus bookstore, do the following:

1. Set up an Ebates account and ensure you're logged in.
2. Search for "Amazon" in the search field at the top right of your browser window.
3. Follow the "Shop Now" link to Amazon.com.
4. Buy any of your textbooks in that new window.

As the Ebates motto says, "It's That Simple!"
